Train car decorated with flowers will go up and down the Iya Valley, and guide you to the open-air bath.
Please enjoy the five-minute journey.
The 4th generation train’s new car body design is the azaleas dancing in the wind of the Iya Valley.
Inside the train car is coordinated in blue hues.
Wild camellias float in the Indigo (Japan blue) colored ceiling.
The base color is Iya blue.
The difference in elevation is 170m, and the rail is 250m long.
The train car goes up and down slowly the 42-degree inclination.
You can see the Iyakei Gorge from the windows in the car.
From cherry blossoms in spring to fresh green leaves in autumn, enjoy the changing of the four seasons.

“Mural painter of Kyoto with Rock 'n' roller spirit”Born in 1942 in Izumiotsu city, Osaka prefecture. After graduating from Kyoto City University of Arts, Department of Art Design (Kozu-ka), worked as a lecturer for the university. Produced many legendary events as an organizer during the dawn of Japanese Rock 'n' roll scene. Painted over 200 murals both domestically and overseas.
The artist has lived almost half of his lifetime with Rock 'n' roll. Thus the sense of liveliness expressed in the paintings. Instead of painting on canvas in studios, the artist chose to paint the “vibrant” street itself. The unique painter advocated the ultimate amateurism. The artist’s collection includes, “IKIRUMAMA,” “MUGAMUCHU,” and “LIVE.”
