The cable car was replaced with a new one in the spring of 2023.
Japanese azaleas dancing in the breeze inspired the exterior design.
Mural artist Hideki Kimura supervised the work.
The light blue exterior represents the sparkling waters of Iya River
while inside, colorful camelia adorn a deep indigo background.
From the windows, guests can view the delicate spring blossoms, the lush green of summer, the bright fall colors, and the white hush of winter.
